When does the window open?
The transfer window opened on Sunday January 1 2023, for clubs in England and Scotland.
In Europe, the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 windows also opened on January 1, while La Liga and Serie A begin their trading on Monday January 2 2023.

When does the window close?
The January transfer window will close in England at 11pm on January 31. Europe's top five leagues will also close their transfer window on the final day of January.

What to look out for?
The winter World Cup provided a rare opportunity for players to impress ahead of the January transfer window. The stars that shone could get offers coming their way.
With Cristiano Ronaldo completing a lucrative move to Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr after his explosive divorce with Manchester United, attention will turn to incomings at Old Trafford, with supporters hoping the potential sale of the club will not halt any business.
Premier League leaders Arsenal could look to increase their squad depth as Mikel Arteta's side continue to mount a bid for the title. They didn't manage to get Douglas Luiz or Pedro Neto in the summer to add to their midfield options, but they have been in talks with Shakhtar Donetsk over the signing of forward Mykhailo Mudryk.
After completing a deal to sign Molde striker David Datro Fofana, Chelsea look set to step up their business. The Blues are interested in Benfica and World Cup-winning midfielder Enzo Fernandez, and have earmarked strengthening their defence.
Who could be on the move?
Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix has been linked with a departure from the Wanda Metroplitano in January, with reported interest from clubs in the Premier League.
Atletico Madrid have themselves have been linked with Leicester City defender Caglar Soyuncu, whose contract is set to expire in the summer.
Argentina's Fernandez impressed in the middle of the pitch for Argentina during the World Cup as did compatriot Alexis Mac Allister. Mac Allister and fellow Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo are both admired by other clubs.
Another midfielder that impressed during the World Cup was Morocco's Sofyan Amrabat. His asking price has rocketed off the back of his performances in Qatar and it remains to be seen if a Premier League club could tempt Fiorentina to part with the 26-year-old.
Another stand-out performer at the 2022 World Cup was England's Jude Bellingham.
Will the 19-year-old Borussia Dortmund midfielder be joining some of his English team-mates in the Premier League? There has already been talk of Liverpool being a potential destination for the young star.
