Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price guaranteed Premier League Darts Play-Off spots, while Nathan Aspinall is in a showdown with Michael van Gerwen for the remaining place; Rob Cross, Chris Dobey and Stephen Bunting are out; watch PL Darts live on Sky Sports

Luke Littler, Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price have secured places in the Premier League Darts Play-Offs, with the last spot up for grabs on the final night of the regular season.

Reigning champion Littler - who beat Humphries in last year's final, hitting a nine-dart finish to boot - leads the table on 40 points thanks chiefly to a record five nightly wins.

Humphries (31 points) and Price (24 points) confirmed their top-four positions in Leeds on Night 14 and that trio can now look forward to finals night at London's O2 arena on Thursday May 29.

How points are scored in Premier League Darts

  • Nightly win: Five points
  • Runner-up: Three points
  • Losing semi-finalist: Two points
  • Losing quarter-finalist: No points

The real intrigue, though, is behind them, with Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall in a battle to snatch the fourth and final berth.

Aspinall celebrated his second nightly win in Aberdeen with a convincing 6-1 final success over Chris Dobey, who dropped out of contention, to move to the cusp of securing a place in the play-offs.

That left Van Gerwen in danger of failing to qualify for the first time since 2020, when he finished sixth.

Seven-time Premier League champion Van Gerwen is fifth in the table on 20 points heading into the final week in Sheffield on May 22 - where he will play the man one place and four points ahead of him in the standings in Aspinall.

The only way Van Gerwen would possibly be able to leapfrog him is by winning the night in Yorkshire.

Aspinall vs Van Gerwen in crunch quarter-final

As the Night 16 fixtures are determined by league placings at this point - first vs eighth, second vs seventh, third vs sixth and fourth vs fifth - Van Gerwen and Aspinall will meet again in the quarter-finals in Sheffield.

If Aspinall wins that he will secure his play-off place.

To advance, Van Gerwen must beat Aspinall first, then the Dutchman would have to win his first night of the campaign in Sheffield in order to reach London's O2 arena.

Who has topped the table?

Littler wrapped that achievement up when he beat second-placed Humphries 6-3 in the Aberdeen quarter-finals, reeling off six of the last seven legs to defeat his rival in a pulsating contest.
